The Roborock RockMow X1 LiDAR is an all-terrain robotic lawnmower that was showcased at CES 2026. It is made for expansive and difficult outdoor areas and prioritizes sophisticated navigation, obstacle detection, and durable mobility. As the most technologically advanced model in the new lineup announced for 2026, the X1 LiDAR builds upon Roborock’s prior all-wheel-drive mower platform.
A key characteristic of the RockMow X1 LiDAR is its two cameras and 360-degree LiDAR vision system. The mower can detect and survey objects up to 230 feet away with this configuration, gathering about 200,000 data points every second. To create, save, and retrieve precise mowing routes across the lawn, the sensor data is integrated with VSLAM (Visual Simultaneous Localization and Mapping). Compared to camera-only systems, this method allows for more accurate navigation and better obstacle avoidance.
The mower was designed to handle rough terrain. With its ability to drive over obstacles as high as 3.1 inches and climb slopes of up to 80% (about 39 degrees), it is appropriate for uneven lawns that have small rocks, roots, or other natural obstacles. An IPX6 water-resistance rating facilitates simple water cleaning and permits operation in damp environments, such as mud or puddles. When it rains, the mower is automatically sent back to its base by a built-in rain sensor.
With the ability to mow up to 2,000 square meters (roughly half an acre) in a 24-hour period, the RockMow X1 LiDAR provides strong coverage for large properties. Among the connectivity features are 4G LTE support, geofencing according to zip codes or property lines, and a theft-protection alarm that sounds if the device is lifted or moved past predetermined bounds. Roborock has also revealed a planned AI-powered mapping update that will be distributed over the air and is meant to automate boundary detection and make setup even easier.
Prices for the RockMow X1 LiDAR have not yet been revealed, but it is expected to be released in the US in 2026. This product will be featured in our Ubergizmo best of CES.
