Following its initial global announcement in September, BenQ has officially commenced U.S. sales of the MOBIUZ EX271QZ. This new flagship gaming monitor features a 3rd-generation QD-OLED panel, positioning it as a premium option for both competitive eSports athletes and creative professionals who require high color fidelity alongside extreme motion clarity.
Technical Specifications and Performance
The EX271QZ features a 27-inch display with a Quad HD (2560 x 1440) resolution. Its defining characteristic is an ultra-high 500 Hz refresh rate, paired with a near-instantaneous 0.03 ms (GtG) response time. These specifications are designed to eliminate motion blur virtually in fast-paced titles. To mitigate OLED-specific concerns, BenQ has integrated several burn-in prevention measures, including pixel shift, logo dimming, and a dedicated pixel refresh function.
The monitor is certified with VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500, reaching peak brightness levels of up to 1,000 nits in HDR mode. Furthermore, it covers 99% of the DCI-P3 color gamut, making it suitable for color-critical professional workloads.
BenQ has introduced a suite of proprietary visual enhancements, most notably the Game Art Color profiles. Unlike generic filters, these modes (Fantasy, Sci-Fi, and Realistic) are calibrated to preserve the intended artistic direction of various titles. The company has confirmed specific optimizations for over 120 AAA games, including Elden Ring and The Last of Us. Additional technologies like Spectral Color Refinement and High Pixel Contrast work to balance mid-tones and reveal shadow detail without overexposing highlights.
The monitor serves as a comprehensive hardware hub, featuring:
- Dual HDMI 2.1 ports with eARC support for Dolby Atmos and DTS:X.
- USB-C 3.2 Gen 1 connectivity with up to 90W Power Delivery.
- Integrated KVM switch to control multiple PCs with a single keyboard and mouse.
- Ergonomic stand with full height, tilt, and swivel adjustments.
The BenQ MOBIUZ EX271QZ is now available in the United States with a suggested retail price of $899.
