Apple has officially announced the fourth-generation Apple TV 4K, bringing major performance upgrades, advanced audio capabilities, and deep integration with Apple Intelligence and Siri AI. Designed to elevate both home entertainment and gaming, the updated set-top box features powerful internal hardware improvements.

At the core of the new device is the A19 chip, featuring a 50% faster CPU and a GPU that is twice as powerful as its predecessor. Supported by hardware-accelerated ray tracing and an AV1 decoder, the device is built to deliver console-quality gaming experiences and high-bandwidth streaming while optimizing energy usage. While specific RAM details were not officially highlighted, the inclusion of Apple Intelligence suggests it houses at least 8GB of RAM.
The upgraded Siri AI transforms how users interact with their media, capable of answering complex entertainment questions and pulling personalized context from synced iPhones to offer tailored movie or music recommendations. To facilitate hands-free control, the new Apple TV 4K includes three built-in long-range microphones with advanced echo cancellation, allowing users to issue voice commands even while audio is playing loudly on the television.

Additionally, the included Siri Remote now supports Precision Finding via the Find My app alongside an audible alert feature to prevent misplacement. Audiophiles also benefit from enhanced ecosystem pairing, as users can now connect up to four HomePods or HomePod minis simultaneously to create a calibrated surround sound system.

Available in a single 128GB configuration with Ethernet, the new Apple TV 4K starts at $300 in the United States. Preorders are currently open, with official market release scheduled for November 13th.
