EFLOW Co., Ltd. (CEO Charlie Suhan Yoon), a South Korean deep-tech manufacturer specializing in high-power-density, lightweight Axial Flux Permanent Magnet (AFPM) motor systems, has announced its participation in IFA 2026, Europe’s largest consumer electronics and home appliances trade show, held in Berlin this September. Exhibiting at the Korea Design Pavilion by the Korea Institute of Design Promotion (KIDP), the company will showcase its AFPM-integrated assistive mobility chair, lightweight composite wheel, and compact hydrogen power solution to accelerate business development across Europe.
Founded in 2017, EFLOW maintains full in-house capabilities spanning motor electromagnetic design, finite element analysis, prototyping, precision machining, and performance validation. Leveraging its thin, compact motor architecture, the company develops actuators for humanoid robots, drone propulsion units, and micro-mobility powertrains. In addition to being recognized as a Baby Unicorn by Korea’s Ministry of SMEs and Startups and winning a CES 2026 Innovation Award, EFLOW was selected for the robotics sector of the 2026 Deep Tech Startup Project (DIPS), validating its technical leadership in robotics drive systems.
At IFA 2026, EFLOW will feature three key products: the NUBINA foldable powered chair, the Carbon-Composite Mobility Bike Wheel, and the HyDee portable hydrogen fuel-cell power generator.
NUBINA is an assistive-technology powered chair driven by compact AFPM in-wheel motors. Weighing just 16.7 kg, the structure folds neatly for storage and effortless loading into standard vehicle trunks. It delivers a travel range of up to 20 km on a single charge at a top speed of 6 km/h, maximizing daily independence for users and reducing physical strain on caregivers. The Carbon-Composite Mobility Bike Wheel utilizes recycled carbon materials to achieve a lightweight 2.4 kg profile while maintaining structural rigidity, reducing total vehicle weight and power draw across e-bikes, cargo bikes, and personal mobility platforms. Completing the lineup, HyDee is a 7.5-kg portable hydrogen fuel cell unit that generates clean, reliable electricity in off-grid environments such as disaster response zones, construction sites, outdoor film sets, and remote locations.
EFLOW currently exports AFPM-driven products and mobility components to Germany, France, and the Netherlands. In France, the company is actively conducting a micro-mobility proof-of-concept (PoC) project with the municipality of Issy-les-Moulineaux to validate operational reliability and road performance under local European transit conditions.
Through IFA 2026, EFLOW aims to expand its commercial partnerships with European distributors, e-mobility builders, and assistive device suppliers. To support long-term regional growth, EFLOW plans to establish a corporate subsidiary in Romania within 2026, creating a dedicated operational hub for European customer technical support, regulatory compliance, and partner management.
