Game Freak, developers of Pokemon Sun and Moon, today confirmed one major difference between the two titles. The games are set 12 hours apart from each other which means that events play out differently in Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon. Nothing will happen at the exact same time in these games which will provide for an interesting experience to gamers, given the popularity of this franchise, it goes without saying […]
Nintendo hasn’t confirmed a lot of details about its next-generation console but it appears that something that has been rumored in the past might actually be true. A big news outlet has reiterated reports that instead of using discs, the Nintendo NX consoles will use cartridges much like the company’s existing Nintendo 3DS handheld console. Nintendo has obviously not officially confirmed anything about the console and we can’t expect it […]
Nintendo enables 3DS owners to easily share information with other players using StreetPass. That’s one of the reasons why 3DS owners carry their handheld console with them but it has had a 10-player cap ever since it was released. Nintendo wasn’t quick to increase the limit but it’s finally listening to demands from most console owners and increasing the 3DS StreetPass limit to 100.
Nintendo today confirmed that it’s going to release a scaled-down version of its popular Super Mario Maker title on the Nintendo 3DS. If you’re not aware of what this title is all about, it’s basically a game in which players create a game. I know it sounds confusing but players find it very interesting and the company will be hoping that the sentiment prevails with Nintendo 3DS users as well. […]
Last week the folks at Level-5 announced a new Professor Layton game. However instead of it featuring the good professor, it will feature his daughter. Now during the announcement, it was revealed that the game would be launched in Japan in the spring 2017, and there was no mention of whether or not it would be localized for English-speaking markets.
There are a ton of puzzle based games available out there, although for gamers of Nintendo’s DS/3DS handheld console, you guys might be very familiar with the Professor Layton franchise. The good news is that if you have enjoyed the franchise, you’ll be pleased to learn that we have a new game that will be joining it.
If there is one video game hardware company that is full well capable of leveraging the power of nostalgia for all that it is worth, you do not have to look any further than Nintendo. Over the years, they have come up with various methods to ensure that you keep on coming back for more, even at times owning multiple instances of the same hardware simply because it comes in […]
Nostalgia can be a very strong factor when it comes moving the hearts and minds of people, and Nintendo knows this. Otherwise, they would not have come up with a scheme that will make SNES titles exclusive to the new Nintendo 3DS, which means that these SNES games will no longer be able to run on the original Nintendo 3DS. Is that a good or a bad thing, time will […]
I am quite sure that any gamer worth his or her salt would have had fond memories of the Mega Man series – although this action platformer could prove to be rather challenging for the uninitiated. Well, Mega Man, or the Blue Bomber as he is fondly referred to, will be celebrated by Capcom when the Mega Man Legacy Collection rolls out in the Land of the Rising Sun by […]
It can be rather difficult to believe how fast time has flown, where close to 20 years have passed since Nintendo rolled out their first Pokemon titles. Well, the franchise continues to have new titles, and the latest one from Nintendo would be Detective Pikachu, which is a title headed for the Nintendo 3DS platform, and will obviously be a Pokemon spin-off which will place you in the shoes – […]
It was considered sacrilege to have Microsoft software on Apple hardware many, many years ago, and thankfully, practical issues have since seen old rivalries being brought to a screeching halt and relegated to the past, as companies realize that it is far better to work in synergy with one another. Sega and Nintendo would be another classic rivalry to take note, but it seems that their hatchet remains buried with […]
It looks like Nintendo is all set to ramp up their Nintendo 3DS family with some more new systems – and new here meaning additional livery compared to the stock models that are in the market. For instance, there is the special Fire Emblem Fates Edition New Nintendo 3DS XL system that will roll out this coming February 19, with a Collector’s Edition for Bravely Second: End Layer, and this […]
We all know that our modern day consoles are pretty powerful consoles in their own right, but just how powerful can they get? Well, back in 1995, if you had a computer that ran on Windows 95, that was wonderful, especially when Windows 95 was a quantum leap over Windows 3.1 and DOS for many other people. How about porting over this ancient operating system to a modern day portable […]
