Toyota robot handles violin with aplomb

Toyota doesn’t only make cars you know, as the company from Japan who hasn’t had the best of times recently has just paraded a new robot that took around three whole years to develop, showcasing it at the Shanghai World Expo. This robot is capable of handling its strings of a violin with aplomb, although it will never be able to get anywhere near the masters who play in an orchestra anytime soon. Still, at least it beats a CD being played over the common speaker system at a convention hall, and will surely make for a great attention grabber (as well as ad spot if you want to draw more folks over to your booth at any convention). We wonder whether we will see anything like it at the next CES?
