One of the benefits of having a computer take the reins during a drive is that it has the potential to be more efficient, so imagine if an entire city were to take advantage of self-driving shuttles that can quickly and more nimbly ferry passengers around. This is the concept behind Toyota’s e-Palette electric autonomous shuttles.
Back in the early days of the automobile, there was no such thing as onboard computers and cars were pretty much purely mechanical. For the most part, cars these days are still largely mechanical, but now come with computers built into them that have software to better control and fine tune the car in a myriad of ways.
One of Toyota’s more iconic sports cars, aside from the Celica, is the Supra. Unlike humans, robots do not come with the ability to think for themselves. This means that what a robot can do is pretty much what its creator has programmed it to do. While this is useful in factories on the assembly line where a robot might only have a few things to do, it becomes less useful when interacting with the real world.

Is there any manufacturer interested to dive deeper on it?While Tesla is busy working on new long-lasting batteries for cheaper costs and breaking track records, Toyota is trying to figure out a way to make solar-powered cars run for an exceptionally long time period (like, forever).LA Times reported that the Toyota Moto […]
The problem with electric cars is that they usually take a while to charge. Even fast charging still cannot compare to the speed it takes to refill a car with gas. We imagine that eventually there could be a point in time when we get used to charging times or when charging times drop, but until then, it seems that Toyota is exploring a new electric car concept.
Toyota has decided to halt sales of fuel cell vehicles in Norway after a hydrogen refueling station exploded earlier this week. According to reports, Toyota and Panasonic will launch a joint venture to manufacture batteries for electric vehicles.
Self-driving cars are widely believed to be the future of transportation due to the advantages that they offer, such as being potentially safer due to the fact that there will not be any human errors involved. However we are still quite a ways away from seeing self-driving cars become commercially available, which is why a lot of work still needs to be done on the research front.
The California wildfires have caused a lot of devastation. There have been casualties while countless people have had to evacuate their homes to survive. The fires have even laid waste to houses. The firefighters and first responders have done an incredible job of saving as many lives as possible, not caring about themselves or their possessions. That’s what nurse Allyn Pierce did as well. He drove his Toyota Tundra truck […]
