Nobody likes having to purchase new batteries for their notebooks, and the use of the Sonata Long Life Battery from Boston Sonata in the B43 and B53 14-inch and 15-inch notebooks will have many folks out there jumping for joy. While it might not offer you exceptionally long battery life in your day-to-day use of the notebook, it is touted to offer triple the lifespan of typical notebook batteries and Asus backs that up by offering a three year warranty on the battery itself, in addition to the notebook. The B53 models have apparently begun to ship, with prices starting at $1,099, while the availability and pricing of the B43 have yet to be announced.
