Find out at the 2010 LG U.S. National Texting Championship that happened in New York City, where participants will endure blindfolds, complex phrases and marathon texting throughout the entire event. Part of the grand prize would also involve a good deed as the winner will donate a certain percentage of the winnings to a charity of the winner’s choice. Both accuracy and speed will be part of the judging criteria, and 15-year-old Kate Moore of Des Moines, Iowa picked up the $50,000 grand prize. Hopefully that ought to be enough for her to pay back her phone bills over the years, considering this girl sends more than 400 texts per day.
