Sprint Epic 4G Update Arrives To Solve 3G Upload Speed Issues

As expected, Sprint has announced a maintenance-release update for the Samsung Epic 4G, an update that is touted to address the slow upload speeds experienced by the mobile phone. The software will be automatically downloaded to Epic 4G phones, so you’ll want to keep an eye open as it should be popping up on your phone pretty soon. The update will be pushed out in stages from 9/30 12AM EST and will be rolled out to users over several days. Issues addressed in this firmware update include:

  • Wi-Fi standby battery drain
  • Amazon MP3 cannot be downloaded in 4G
  • Large emails lag in upload speeds
  • Increased 3G upload speeds
