Iogear computer-to-TV connection kit relies on Ultra-Wideband (UWB) wireless USB connectivity

Iogear has released a spanking new computer-to-TV connection kit that relies on Ultra-Wideband (UWB) wireless USB connectivity, enabling “mirror-mode” computer use, video chatting support as well as presentation of media such as movies and photos up to 720p sans wires to a compatible platform such as a TV, monitor or projector – as long as you remain within a 30 foot radius. The kit goes by the model number GUWAVKIT2, where it will rely on a simple base station that is connected to the “transmitting” computer via USB. Windows machines (XP or higher) will require the included hardware to get everything up and running, while Mac users must be on 10.5.8 or better. The receiving station itself is attached to the TV or projector via HDMI or VGA, while audio from the transmitting computer is connected using a 3.5mm plug. The kit retails ofr $180, but you can always add on other receiver units to enable it to project more than a single image from a solitary source. For those who seek a truly wireless lifestyle, isn’t it about time you added this to your shopping list?
