Mad Catz says R.A.T.9 wireless professional gaming mouse has started to ship

Mad Catz, purveyors of gaming peripherals across multiple platforms, has just announced that they have started to ship their Cyborg R.A.T.9 Wireless Gaming Mouse which delivers high performance 2.4GHz wireless technology, resulting in an estimated latency of less than 1 millisecond. A rechargeable lithium-ion battery pack within offers up to 9 hours of gaming time per full charge, which isn’t that long when you take into consideration how its wireless rivals fare in this arena – but at least it is also a deterrent to prevent you from playing to your death while you neglect yourself, your family and others around. Boasting a stylish desktop charging unit which also holds up to 42 grams of removable weights, the R.A.T.9 is highly customizable to suit your gaming needs.

At least it comes with a couple of hot-swappable battery packs, essentially letting you get your game on without missing a beat for 18 hours straight. Features include an interchangeable palm rest, adjustable pinkie grips, and adjustable length, width and height settings, not to mention the ability to individually set the x and y-axis DPI of the ‘twin eye’ 5600DPI gaming grade laser sensor while storing a quartet of individual DPI settings that can be instantly recalled via an integrated toggle switch. It will only play nice with Windows 7, Vista and XP systems, retailing for $149.99 a pop. We would think that Transformers fans will definitely find this worthy of a purchase.
