Another day, another e-book reader makes an appearance online to entice you to part with your hard earned money. We have NextBook of China’s Next6 e-book reader this time around, where it will sport a pretty decent 7.1″ TFT LCD resistive touch screen display at 800 x 480 resolution, although you might be disappointed to know that Android 2.1 is the operating system pre-installed here instead of the latest Android 2.2 Froyo (or the upcoming Gingerbread). Other hardware specifications comprise of 4GB of internal memory, an external SD memory card slot, and what some people have claimed to be a RockChip processor. As with most e-book readers in the market, it is the content offered as well as mode of delivery which will be most important, as hardware no longer plays that vital a role. Expect the Next6 to hit the markets in the first quarter of this year for approximately $300 thereabouts.
