Skype 5 for Mac supports group video chat

Skype has updated the Mac version of its VoIP program with the release of Skype 5 for Mac. The latest version offers Skype group video calling for the first time (on a Mac) and supports as many as 10 simultaneous people chatting in an iChat-style full-screen mode. The interface has been updated and now everything is focused into a single pane. The latest version requires an Intel processor and Mac OS X 10.5.8, not to mention the necessary microphone and camera. One disappointing thing is that group video chat will require a $5 day pass, or a $9 monthly subscription to its Premium service, though one-on-one video chat is still free.
