With the introduction of Intel’s latest Sandy Bridge processors, it’s a no brainer to assume that laptops will be getting upgrades to the new processors as well, especially popular models like ASUS’s bamboo laptop. The U43SD laptop has been refreshed with brand new processors and some minor updates.
The U43SD now packs a larger 14″ screen, the latest Core i3 and Core i5 processors, an NVIDIA GeForce GT 520M graphics card (1GB), 5,400RPM and 7,200RPM hard drive options and a six or eight-cell battery. Other than that, not much has changed, and let’s not forget about the sleek bamboo material used to furnish parts of the laptop.
ASUS has also introduced the U41SV which has the same configuration as the U43SD, except that it comes in a plain shell instead of the lustrous bamboo used in the U43SD. No word on pricing or availability yet, but expect an official announcement soon, since the tablets have already been photographed like they’re ready to go on sale. Head over to the official ASUS website to find out more about the U43SD and the U41SV.
