With the visually stunning Crysis series and along with Far Cry, Crytek is a company that is well-known among FPS gamers all over the world. It appears that an upcoming third person shooter by the game company has been cancelled, which we’re guessing will disappoint many of their fans around the world. However all is not lost as it seems that a new game has taken its place.

The previous game was a third person shooter, and based on the LinkedIn profile of one of Crytek’s developers, Dimitry Kachkovski, it was called Redemption. In another LinkedIn profile of Crytek’s developers, David Ramos, it shows that a new IP is in the works that is slated to be released in a year’s time on the Xbox, PS3 and PC platforms.

Unfortunately not much is known about this upcoming IP although some are thinking it will be a departure from the Crysis-styled games that Crytek has been known to produce. Either way with Crytek’s track record of putting out games that are not only visually stunning but also fun to play, we can only expect good things to come from this new IP.
