It seemed that an “official” Motorola Twitter feed announced the soon-to-be arrival of the Droid Bionic on August 27th, saying that “On September 8th 2011, the Motorola Droid Bionic will be in your hands,” while another message in early August read “Once the Motorola Droid Bionic is in your hands, you will then know that the wait was worth it.” The big question is this – a Twitter feed called Droid Bionic – is it official or not? Motorola has stepped up to the plate and claimed otherwise, according to Motorola spokeswoman Danielle McNally.

Why all the furore surrounding the Droid Bionic? Well, it has been touted to be “Motorola’s most highly anticipated product this year,” with a fall release date, it makes sense for the community to be all abuzz about it. We are looking at most probably a 1GHz dual-core processor, up to 1GB RAM, a 4.3″ display as well as two cameras to serve as a casual digital camera and a video call camera. Hopefully Motorola will come out with an official Twitter channel just for this phone to combat such fake channels in the future.
