Samsung VS AppleIt seems that the saga down under has finally been resolved – the High Court of Australia has rejected Apple’s appeal request to have sales of the Samsung Galaxy Tab stopped in that part of the world. As for the final patent case, that is tipped to be heard sometime early next year, so at least the courtrooms and lawyers can spend their holiday season in peace, unwrapping a Samsung Galaxy Tab under the Christmas tree come this December 25th. This might just set a precedent in other countries, as a bunch of Samsung’s products still remain banned in Germany. According to a spokeswoman for Australia’s High Court, “Apple’s application for special leave to appeal was dismissed with costs.”

Samsung should be more than happy with this result, as it means they will be able to keep shoppers who want their products happy with their availability, and while we know that they will hit the stores in time for Christmas, there was no specific date given out.
