For old school Nokia fans, can you remember the game Snake? That was the Angry Birds of the day, and you could say the mobile gaming scene started off back then in 1997. While there is no way to play multiplayer Snake in the beginning, it is still a fun game to have a go as you jostle with your mates for top position when it comes to snagging the high score. Nokia has introduced Snake ’97 for the Nokia Lumia, where it will recreate the old favorite on the phone itself.

The touchscreen display shows off a replica of the old school Nokia 5110, where the keys are located at the lower part of the screen. Talk about transforming retro gaming into an art form! The black colored “snake” will appear right above the keys, with a bright green screen as the back ground, while buttons at the bottom will help you navigate the snake in the right direction to consume more and more food until it grows too big for its size. Snake ’97 is available from the Windows Phone Marketplace for £0.79 a pop.
