As most of you guys probably know by now, MWC 2012 is nearly upon us. The event is scheduled for the 27th of February and is expected to be the largest mobile device event of the year. However if you were looking forward to seeing more than just new smartphones and tablets being unveiled, you could be in luck as Ford has announced that they will be unveiling a car at MWC 2012, apparently making them the first manufacturer to do so.

“Firstly comes the news that the all-new Ford B-MAX will make its debut on February 27th at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. It is the first time in the mobile industry’s conference history that a car manufacturer will unveil a vehicle at the event, and marks a bold step by the company. Similarly Bill Ford will be the first automotive leader to deliver a keynote at MWC. The move by Ford indicates just how important mobile communications have become and also demonstrates the company’s vision for future mobility and the growing connection between automobiles and mobile technology.”

According to Ford, they will be showing off the range of new technologies that will come with the B-MAX, which they say will make it one of the most technologically advanced small cars on the market, so if you’re in the market for a small car that’s packed to the brim with features, the Ford B-MAX could be a car worth checking out.
