Remember the countdown timer spotted on baldursgate.com today? Well since some of us here are hardcore fans of the RPG, we decided to wait it out and see what was going to happen when the countdown reached zero. Sure enough, as we predicted – the page would refused to load, providing us with error messages and so on. Thankfully through Twitter (yes, Baldur’s Gate is trending at this very moment) we managed to find out what the fuss was all about.
Baldur’s Gate Enhanced Edition has been officially announced, and will be arriving in Summer 2012. While there were no details about the game revealed with the announcement, we can only assume it will be Baldur’s Gate with enhanced graphics, improved gameplay elements and hopefully – extra content.
