According to a recent report, it has been suggested that Baldur’s Gate 3 could be released this year. How true are those rumors? It is unclear how true or accurate they are, but they are certainly being corroborated with a new report where it seems that Hasbro has given it away that Baldur’s Gate 3 will be released on Steam Early Access this year.

For those who are unfamiliar, Steam Early Access is basically Steam’s version of beta testing. This is where gamers are able to access games that are still in their beta and give them a spin. This is usually not necessarily representative of when the game will actually be released, but the fact that Hasbro has plans to launch it in beta means that it should be close to completion.

The company does not mention when exactly the game will be available on Steam Early Access, so we’ll just have to wait and see. Whether or not the final release will also take place this year remains to be seen, but if you’re a fan of Baldur’s Gate, then this is definitely worth keeping an eye out for.

Unlike the previous two Baldur’s Gate titles that were developed by BioWare, the latest entry in the Baldur’s Gate franchise will be developed by Larian Studios, the same game developer responsible for Divinity: Original Sin 2.
