Remember our story about how Asus might just introduce a new tablet that will be able to dual boot in Windows (one form of it, anyways) as well as Android operating systems? Well, it would seem as though a dual booting tablet as such is still far from being reality, as Asus has just announced their partnership with BlueStacks in order to deliver hugely popular Android apps to approximately 30 million Asus PCs around the world. I’ve never heard of BlueStacks before, but I guess this partnership would clearly thrust them into the spotlight, as they are the ones behind the “App Player for PC” software that paves the way for a rich selection of Android apps on asus@vibe, a one-stop entertainment platform which comes as a preinstalled program on all Asus products. BlueStacks technology will enable users of asus@vibe to access Android apps of all categories, ranging from games to social, news, shopping, music, business and education. Perhaps dual booting is meant for another time and age, no? [Press Release]
