If you’ve ever wanted to stream Disney shows on your iPhone or iPad, you’re in luck as Disney has announced that they will be launching three apps for both the iPhone and iPad that would allow users to access programs that would have otherwise been restricted to cable. These channels include the Walt Disney Channel, Watch Disney XD and Watch Disney Junior. The apps themselves are free and will allow for live streams, but the catch is that in order to gain access to all the shows, users will need to verify their Comcast Xfinity TV account. However if you’re not a Comcast subscriber, not all is lost because you will still be able to stream some shows albeit in a somewhat limited capacity. That being said, it’s still a pretty huge departure from other streaming apps such as HBO GO where it is locked to cable subscribers only. So if you enjoy Disney’s shows or if you’re looking for a way to keep your kids entertained while on the go, hit the links above to go to their respective iTunes App Store download pages!
