Forget about Usain Bolt and his winning form that might just see him break the world 100m record yet again at this year’s Olympics – you might be able to be faster, although that would require you to be on board the Trail Rider from Gnarboards first. This is actually a 3,400 watt four wheel drive mode of urban transport which has a faster acceleration rate (up to a certain extent) compared to most other cars, where the 850 Watt motor that drives each wheel is able to propel you from 0-28 mph in a mere 1.9 seconds. 28mph is also the official top speed, and considering how you are probably going to ride on this with minimal protection, it is plenty fast – and definitely able to send your heart to your mouth many times if you navigate through crowded places on the Trail Rider. Too bad it tips the scales at 86 pounds, which is extremely heavy to lug around whenever it cannot be ridden on. Not only that, the asking price of $6,100 places it well out of reach of the ordinary man on the street, turning this into a niche product instead of a mainstream one.
