Ever since Sprint announced that they would be offering Windows Phone 8 devices by Samsung and HTC in their portfolio in the near future, many have been speculating as to what these phones might be. Some have speculated that perhaps these phones from Samsung and HTC could be the Samsung ATIV S and the HTC Windows Phone 8X respectively, and while both these phones are pretty decent in their own right, Sprint subscribers might be interested to learn that the carrier’s Windows Phone 8 lineup could be that of new devices that have yet to be announced.

When asked about it, Ryan Sullivan, Director of Device Delivery at Sprint, said that the carrier will be introducing “current” Windows Phone 8 smartphones, and that they will not necessarily be launching “six-month-old hardware”, indicating that Sprint’s Windows Phone 8 offerings could be something new and fresh. Of course since nothing has been announced, it’s hard to imagine what the carrier could be offering, but with MWC taking place towards the end of February next month, perhaps there is a good chance Sprint will be announcing their Windows Phone 8 lineup then.
