electric-paintThere is nothing quite like having a fresh coat of paint over your home or old jalopy in order to make it look nice, prim and proper. Having said that, the future of paint might seem to be different – very different. Even right now, we already have paint that does the wonders of absorbing a certain amount of room odor, but London-based Bare Conductive Ltd. has something even better, as they have successfully developed a new kind of paint which is capable of conducting electricity.Yes sir, this particular non-toxic paint is known as Bare Paint, where it will dry up at room temperature. Specially created in part by students at the Royal College of Art, the paint will be able to offer a range of usages, which so happen to start from the artistic to the practical.

This new kind of paint is said to come with a surface resistivity of about 55 ohms/square at 50 microns layer thickness. It might be water-based, and the paint itself is not waterproof, so you can easily paint it over with waterproof paint or varnish. Obviously, this is one of its redeeming features since right now, it shares a similar trait as the first generation Ford Model T cars, by coming only in one color – that is, black.
