925_glance_bigIf you’re the sort of person who hates pressing buttons to wake up their device in fear of wearing out the button itself (iPhone/iPad owners know what we’re talking about), Nokia has announced the release of the beta version of its “Glance Screen”. This is a feature that will be shipped together with the Nokia Lumia 925 and will remain as a Lumia 925 exclusive for the time being, although Nokia did state that the feature will begin rolling out to other Lumia devices in its amber software update in July.

So what is the Glance Screen feature, you ask? Well for starters this is a feature that will display a clock on the display of the phone during standby, as opposed to a black screen with no information on it. It will include information such as battery levels and even has the ability to wake a phone up simply by double-tapping the screen itself which we have to admit is pretty handy. Alongside the Glance Screen feature, Nokia has also announced that the Lumia 925 is now available for sale in Germany with other markets to follow after.
