att-preorder-soldoutThe 41-megapixel Nokia Lumia 1020 must have impressed a fair number of people ever since it was introduced, and it was just yesterday when the pre-orders for the Nokia Lumia 1020 on AT&T were opened, and here we are with word that demand proved to be so overwhelming, that the device itself was sold out as early as 8:42am on Tuesday morning. In fact, AT&T had even sent someone who tried to place a pre-order an email, informing him that the much wanted Lumia 1020 is now on backorder. Now that is a bummer, isn’t it? Well, at least you can still check out a photo of it on production lines, as well as regale in the hope that there is a possible red colored version in the pipeline, too.

It does seem as though the Nokia Lumia 1020 is going to be a surefire winner for Nokia and Microsoft, although it remains to be seen what is the primary driver of success – the 41-megapixel camera, or just a bunch of people who want a change in scenery by jumping aboard the Windows Phone 8 bandwagon. What do you think? Those who were lucky enough to have gotten your pre-order through should be on track to receive it from July 23rd onwards.
