Square Enix has been teasing us with the promise of an HD remastered version of both Final Fantasy X & Final Fantasy X-2 for months now as we’ve seen both screenshots and videos of the updated title. Up until now, Square Enix has yet to put a release date as to when both PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita owners can enjoy Final Fantasy X / X-2 HD, but the wait won’t be too long as the company says the game will launch this winter in North America.

In addition to today’s news of the release date window for Final Fantasy X / X-2 HD, Square Enix has also released a brand-new trailer of the game which shows off in all of its HD glory. The trailer highlight’s the overall story of Final Fantasy X as well as a ton of combat sequences, and for the first time since the HD remaster version was announced, Square Enix has shown off Final Fantasy X-2 in today’s trailer as well. The portion for Final Fantasy X-2 is relatively short when compared to how much face time Final Fantasy X gets in today’s trailer, but at least the game was shown off in some fashion since we haven’t seen any screenshots or video of the game up until today.
