Sony’s next generation flagship smartphone, the Xperia Z2, apparently codenamed “Sirius” is expected to be unveiled at the Mobile World Congress 2014 in Barcelona later this month. Over the past few weeks there have been countless rumors and leaks related to this smartphone, the most recent leaked images show us the device being compared against its predecessors, the Sony Xperia Z1 and the Sony Xperia Z.

On the left hand side, we can see what is claimed to be the Sony Xperia Z2 a.k.a “Sirius”. To its right is the Xperia Z1 followed by the Xperia Z. All three smartphones look more or less the same from the front, though the purported Xperia Z2 seems bigger in size. That’s because this smartphone is rumored to have a larger 5.2 inch display as compared to its predecessors. The second leaked image shows off both black and white flavors of the Xperia Z2 side by side, hinting at the possibility that Sony may actually offer this smartphone in two color options. Expected to be unveiled at MWC 2014, this smartphone is believed to be more of an evolutionary update. Rumored specifications include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 quadcore processor, 3GB RAM, a 20 megapixel rear camera as well as Android 4.4 KitKat preinstalled. [Images via Digi-Wo]
