asus-padfone-xIn January this year, AT&T made an announcement that they will sell the ASUS PadFone X sometime later this year. Unfortunately for the rest of the world, there was nothing forthcoming from AT&T since then concerning this particular device, at least until now. AT&T has decided to take the plunge with Twitter to remind the world that the “ASUS PadFone X is a 5-inch FHD smartphone that transforms into a 9-inch FHD tablet”, in addition to asking the question, “How would you use a larger screen?” Such text has been accompanied by the image that you can check out for yourself above. See how happy the couple is with the PadFone X? I only hope that they are not watching a movie, otherwise pseudo-Frodo’s hands are going to start cramping up in five minutes’ time.

With such a tweet from AT&T, one can only make the assumption that the ASUS PadFone X is about to hit the markets really, really soon. We have no idea as to how much the ASUS PadFone X will cost by the time AT&T offers it, but we do know that it will run on the Android 4.4 KitKat operating system, boast of LTE-A connectivity and a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 MSM-8974 processor running proceedings from underneath the hood.
