Good news for people who own a T-Mobile Galaxy S3 t999. The carrier has released an optional Android 4.3 update for them, it comes nearly three months after said update was released for the LTE variant of this very smartphone. The Galaxy S3 t999 Android 4.3 update is rolling out now. Those who haven’t already been notified by their devices about an OTA update can now fish for it through the Settings application.

The update, which bumps up core Android OS to version 4.3, brings support for Samsung KNOX security suite as swell as compatibility for Samsung’s Gear devices. Launched last year, the Gear smartwatch is only supported by certain Samsung devices. It also brings stability updates for the system. Nonetheless, it is an optional update, meaning its entirely up to the users if they want to pull the trigger on this update or not.

Those interested in downloading the Galaxy S3 t999 Android 4.3 update should ensure that their device is not rooted, and that it has at least 50 percent of battery left before the update is downloaded. Either they can check manually for the update through the Settings app or the alternative is to hook up the smartphone with a computer and installed the update through the latest version of Samsung Kies software.
