Today is a great day for LG and Motorola fans. The former announced earlier today that it is going to conduct an event on May 27th where the much awaited LG G3 is possibly going to be unveiled. A few hours later Motorola sent out invites to the press as well. An event has been scheduled for May 13th in London where Motorola is going to unveil a brand new smartphone.

Its unclear if the company plans on holding a companion event in the U.S. Recently HTC held two events side-by-side in London and New York to mark the HTC One M8’s launch. Since announcement for both events was made at the same time its unlikely that Motorola will wait a few days just to separately schedule an event in the U.S.

The invite doesn’t give any hints about what we can expect from Motorola at the event, only that the device will be “Made to last. Priced for all.” Recent rumors suggest that the company might be gearing up to launch its Moto X successor, presumably called Moto X+1. There have also been rumored about a Moto G successor called Moto E, which would be yet another mid-range highly competitively priced Android smartphone.

Whatever the company plans on announcing, we’ll have the updates for you come May 13th.
