mass-effect-3-reckoning-citadel-dlcAs well-intentioned as BioWare might have been regarding Mass Effect 3, it’s safe to say that the ending left much to be desired, so much so that they had to release a DLC to address some of the issues that fans of the game had with it.

That being said we know that Mass Effect 4 is in the works and is the start of something new, but when might we expect the game? This year? Next? In the next two years, maybe? Well the semi-good news is that development of the game appears to be progressing well but as it stands, it is only currently in the middle of its development stages.

This is according to BioWare Montreal studio director, Yanick Roy, who responded to a question on Twitter as to the status of the game. According to Roy who was being a little coy about the progress wrote, “Too late for one, too early for the other… So I guess we’re somewhere in the middle?”

Previously BioWare had stated that the game could see a release in 2015 but since things can happen mid-development, these timeframes are typically subject to change. The game will not be known as Mass Effect 4 but it is tentatively referred as that for now. Perhaps we will learn more about the game at E3 2014 which is taking place in June, so check back with us then for the details.
