With Nokia’s former CEO, Stephen Elop, now out of the picture as far as Nokia is concerned, we’re sure some of you guys will be wondering who will be taking his place? Well as it turns out it is Rajeev Suri, a 46-year old who has been working with Nokia over the past couple of decades. This was announced by Nokia in a press release not too long ago.

Suri’s previous role saw him lead Nokia Solutions and Networks, which was formerly Nokia Siemens. According to the new CEO (video above), Nokia will now be focusing on three business areas which they are consider to be “strong”, such as its HERE mapping software, networks and technologies.

The company’s efforts for HERE will include developing location technology which can be used together with smart cars, cloud-based services for personal mobility, wearables and special purpose devices, along with location-based analytics for businesses. The company’s Networks business will also focus on investing in new and innovative products and services for network operators.

Last but not least as far as its Technologies business is concerned, they will focus on licensing out Nokia’s patent portfolio and will continue to research new technology that could be used in future products and services. If you’d like to hear what Nokia’s new CEO has to say, check it out in the video above.
