gear2-updateThe Samsung Gear 2, also known as the SM-R380 where its model number is concerned, is a Tizen-powered smartwatch that has just received an update earlier this morning. This latest update would see the software version bumped up to version 2.2.1.2. In this particular update that can be obtained from the Gear Manager on your wearable smartwatch, one can expect improvements made to S Health to be thrown into the mix, while this update also boasts of new notifications including Blocking Mode.

Blocking Mode works this way – if you feel like you would want to be a hermit and retreat into your shell, and would not want any reminders that someone out there happens to want to get in touch with you, then such notifications are able to be blocked.

Heck, you also now have the power to turn off notifications on the watch so that you will not be awakened unnecessarily in the middle of the night. A changelist on the entire slew of improvements and modifications have yet to be made available, although it is said that the general stability of the smartwatch has been improved as well. Aren’t you glad that Samsung looks out for their wearable tech as well as their collection of smartphones?
