Independence Day is just around the corner and to commemorate the occasion Rockstar Games has detailed a new Grand Theft Auto Online update that will be released on the 4th of July. This update brings a handful of limited-time as well as new content apart from a few balancing updates. GTA Online players now have something to look forward to this July 4th, apart from fireworks that is.

The Independence Day Special update for Grand Theft Auto Online brings two new vehicles which include the Liberator monster truck that can easily crush smaller cars and the Sovereign motorcycle. Players will also have access to seven new properties which can be purchased, these properties are at locations such as Vinewood HIlls and Paleto Bay.

There’s a new Firework Rocket Launcher and the deadly Musket to have fun with. The Interaction Menu now gives users the ability to place and set off fireworks in true 4th of July style. Four different types of fireworks can be purchased from Ammu-Nation which will be accessible from the inventory.

Players will be able to ride the Ferris Whale as well as the Leviathan Roller Coaster on the Pleasure Pier and wear things like an animal mask featuring a bald eagle, a “Made in the U.S.A” t-shirt and a backwoods mullet.

There are quite a few manifold patches in this update as well, the full list of which can be accessed here. To get hands on this content download Patch 1.15 on PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360. An additional compatibility pack will be downloaded on the Xbox 360.
