Nokia X Platform Receives Update

nokia x2 4Nokia has been rocking the smartphone world with its fair share of Windows Phone devices in the past, but they did deviate somewhat with their collection of Android-powered Nokia X smartphones, too. Well, it does not look as though the Nokia X range is doing too well at the moment though, and the range’s future is rather bleak to boot. Still, this does not mean that Nokia is going to close down the Nokia X family anytime soon, but rather, they have already introduced a new update that will deliver some of the missing features to the Nokia X, Nokia X+, and the Nokia XL.

In fact, it is said that one of the most celebrated features to be added to the trio of Nokia X smartphones as mentioned above would be the App Switcher, where it enables users to discover just which particular app is running at that point in time on the smartphone (in the background to boot), and to open which particular app that they prefer right there and then. Other than this multi-tasking oriented addition, the update would also bring with it a slew of other Microsoft apps and services, ranging from the likes of OneDrive to OneNote and Outlook.com.

Not only that, an enhanced Nokia Store will be appearing to the Nokia X devices, allowing it to be integrated with other third party app stores for a more consistent experience. This update would see the Nokia X, X+, and XL close to being that of the Nokia X2, but not near enough.
