iPhone6homebuttons-640x590Assuming the rumors are right, we could be getting closer to Apple to making an official iPhone 6 announcement. As it stands, the rumors claim that we can look forward to a 4.7-inch model and a 5.5-inch model and while most of us probably think that the 5.5-inch model is basically the iPhone 6 with a larger display, it seems that leaked components are suggesting otherwise.

The folks at Nowhereelse.fr (via Cult of Mac) have recently gotten their hands on alleged leaked components belonging to the iPhone 6. The components in question are the home button and Touch ID component that is expected to be part of the iPhone 6’s build. However as you can see in the image above, there are differences in the components’ design between the 4.7-inch model and the 5.5-inch model.

In fact there is also a difference in design from the iPhone 5s and the 4.7-inch iPhone 6 model. We’re not sure how this will impact either handset, but presumably this could mean that both the 4.7-inch mode and 5.5-inch model have been designed differently, at least as far as the internal layout is concerned.

Of course it remains to be seen if the components pictured are actual components belonging to the iPhone 6, but so far the identification numbers on the components seem to be in line with the leaks of the other parts. In any case take it with a grain of salt for now, but hopefully we won’t have to wait too long for Apple to make the official announcement.
