nokia-z-launcher-androidWhile Microsoft might have officially put an end to Nokia’s Android plans, the other Nokia continues to support Android in their way own – in the form of the Z Launcher. For those who are unfamiliar with the Z Launcher, it’s basically a launcher that Nokia designed for Android devices.

There are plenty of launchers already available in the market today but we guess by throwing Nokia’s name behind the Z Launcher, it has given it a bit of clout. That being said, Nokia has been busy making improvements to the Z Launcher and in the latest update, it should bring about several changes and improvements that might be welcomed by its users.

For starters Nokia has made some performance improvements, such as increase in speed, faster startup, faster loading of apps, contacts, and as well as faster first-run performance when installed on lower-end handsets. Nokia has also introduced new animations, improved contacts search, improved web search results, and so on.

This is actually the second major update Nokia has released for the Z Launcher. The previous one was issued back in July and if you have been using the Z Launcher as your daily driver then perhaps this is an update you won’t want to miss out on. For those who are interested in taking the launcher for a spin and participate in the beta, you can sign up at the Z Launcher’s website.
