samsung-gs5-alsThe Samsung Galaxy S5 might be a nice looking flagship device, but do bear in mind that it is not a shrinking violet where smartphones are concerned. In fact, it managed to go through a torture test and passed with flying colors. With all the various ice bucket challenges that is going around the world, even the Samsung Galaxy S5 could not resist having a go at it. Of course, this is not some sort of fan made video, but rather, a clever marketing stunt by the South Korean conglomerate that is in tune with what’s going on in the world.

Not only does the Galaxy S5 take the ice bucket challenge, it also killed the other proverbial bird by showing off the smartphone’s water-resistance capability. In the video that you can view through the Facebook post, it shows the smartphone talking via S Voice, before a stream of ice cold water drenches it from the top, ending up with some ice cubes at the bottom. Following that, it nominated the iPhone 5S, HTC One (M8), and the Nokia Lumia 930 to go through the same challenge, which would be an obvious fail for these Galaxy S5 rivals since none of them will be able to walk away from going through such a challenge without getting its inner circuitry fried.
