Street View Hits Three Dozen North American Universities

street-view-universityWe all do seem to love a preview – otherwise, why are we interested in trailers of upcoming movies, in addition to post credit scenes? If you are going to head to a foreign land for a holiday or some business, Google has made it possible to check out a particular area through Street View (which has also depicted a staged murder before), and for high school students who are about to enter universities in the year ahead, you can check out your potential new alma mater via Street View.

In fact, up to 36 different universities located across the U.S. and Canada will have their grounds available to the masses 24/7 – through Street View, of course. This means students, parents and just about the whole world can take a virtual tour of the campus, including the likes of Georgetown University, the University of Miami, and the University of Regina.

If you would like the full list of universities that support this Street View exercise, then you can check out the full list here, courtesy of Google. Do take note, however, that the list itself does not show all 36 campuses, so it might be Google still working on it and ought to see it complete in due time. After all, there are just six more universities left to be listed. [Press Release]
