Choose the ‘Add a Missing Place’ link, and you can then fill up the nitty gritty such as Place Name, Category, Phone Number, and Website.

As for the kinds of categories which will be part of the mix, they cover just about everything, ranging from Bars to Shops, Cinemas, Schools, Parks and Hospitals. Prior to hitting ‘Send’, Google will inform you that you will be on the receiving end of updates on the status of these changes to the associated Gmail address, and they can also be published under your account where the Google Map Maker is concerned.
