iPhone-6-review-10We know that with every iPhone that Apple releases that without fail, the company will go on to sell millions, but exactly how many phones could Apple be looking at for this quarter? Well according to a note released by analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the analyst expects Apple will sell as many as 71.5 million iPhones this quarter.

This is an 82% increase in this year’s fourth quarter compared to the previous quarter. However Kuo is also estimating that come come Q1 2015, Apple’s iPhone sales are expected to drop by 31%, which will result in about 49.4 million iPhones sold for that particular quarter. There is a chance that the holiday rush could be the reason why more iPhones are sold, and come 2015 sales are expected to normalize a bit.

Kuo has also noted that he expects the iPhone 6 to outsell the iPhone 6 Plus by a factor of 2 to 1 this quarter, and while this does seem to go against other reports which reveal that the iPhone 6 Plus is more desired, it could be due to supply constraints which forces customers to go for the cheaper and smaller model, but he expects that the ratio will drop over time as supply of iPhone 6 Plus begins to improve, although ultimately he still sees the smaller iPhone 6 outsell the iPhone 6 Plus.
