lumia-535-1

We have been hearing for a while now that Microsoft is going to release a new Lumia device sans the Nokia brand. Microsoft has already confirmed the #MoreLumia event for November 11th and the fact that the Nokia brand will no longer be used with Lumia smartphones. Pictures and specifications of Microsoft Lumia 535 have been leaked from China, giving us a good look at what Redmond might be showing off at the event on November 11th.

It appears that the pictures actually show a dummy of the Lumia 535 as opposed to an actual unit, but it still gives us a good idea of what the device is going to look like when it finally becomes official. The Lumia 5xx series is already quite popular due to its competitive pricing and reasonable specifications so Microsoft is expected to build on that legacy.

According to leaked specifications the Lumia 535 is going to have a 1.2GHz Snapdragon 200 processor with 1GB RAM and 8GB onboard storage. There may be a 5-inch qHD display, 5 megapixel rear and VGA front camera, dual-SIM support, 1,900mAh battery with the entire package weighing in at 145.7 grams.

If these specifications are to be believed then clearly it is a device that will be targeted towards the low-end segment of the market. With Lumia 5xx series already established in that segment this new device ought to perform well, but we’ll have to wait and see if customers develop any interest in it.
