Every year Samsung releases dozens of Android powered phones while the situation is completely opposite for Tizen OS powered phones. We had heard rumors recently that Samsung is working on a low-end Tizen device that will be geared towards emerging markets. Today we get what might be our first look at the user interface of this low-end Tizen device, carrying model number SM-Z130H.

The folks at Sammobile report that this smartphone has the KIRAN codename and it packs a 800×480 pixel resolution WVGA TFT LCD display with dualcore Spreadtrum SC7727S 1.2GHz processor under the hood. Additional specifications include ARM Mali-400 GPU, 512MB RAM, 3.2 megapixel rear camera and a 0.3 megapixel front camera.

Connectivity options include Bluetooth 4.0, A-GPS, GLONASS, GPS, Wi-Fi 802.11n, Wi-Fi Direct and a microUSB 2.0 port. SM-Z130H has dual-SIM support and FM radio, two features that are sought after in emerging markets like India.

The scribe also received a system dump from this smartphone which enabled them to extract icons, default wallpaper, lockscreen themes and more. System dump revealed that some of Samsung’s features have been ported from Android, these include Ultra Power Saving Mode and Private Mode.
