If accessing entertainment content on your Xbox One is as important as being able to play games then you’re going to like the latest app that has landed on the console. It was announced on the official Xbox blog today that the Showtime Anytime app has been released for Xbox One. This app will allow Xbox Live members in the U.S. to access unlimited hours of programming, including current seasons of some of the most popular Showtime shows, on the console.
The app will also give you the ability to watch East and West Coast live feeds. Those who subscribe to Showtime through participating television providers will have access to the app for free, Showtime Anytime is also available on the Xbox 360.
Apart from offering current and past seasons of the network’s popular shows like Ray Donovan, Dextor and Nurse Jackie, the app also offers documentaries, specials, sports and box office hits.
It offers features like the ability to pick up where you left off on a mobile, computer or any other streaming device, voice and gesture controls using Kinect and the My List feature from where you can access saved programs.
Xbox One users will be able to “pin” a Showtime series, movies or even a boxing match to their console’s Home screen for quick access. The app is now live and can be downloaded on the console right away.
