Borderlands fans rejoice, you have something to be happy about today. 2K Games has announced today that a remastered bundle will soon be released for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, two of the most popular gaming consoles available in the market now, both current generation consoles have been left out of this fun for a while now.

Gearbox Software and 2K games announced Borderlands: The Handsome Collection for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One today. This remastered bundle contains Borderlands 2, Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel apart from all downloadable content for both games and everything is in high-definition.

It has been revealed that this game is going to support cross-saves and players will be able to transfer their save files from PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of the aforementioned titles when they get their hands on The Handsome Collection.

Bear in mind that game saves can only be transferred within the family so Xbox 360 saves can only be used on Xbox One and not on PlayStation, and vice versa.

Borderlands: The Handsome Collection will bring an improved multi-player split screen option which lets up to four players play the new remastered title on a single TV. To commemorate this launch Gearbox and 2K have launched a Claptrap-in-a-Box Edition of this title, only 5,000 units will be sold, it includes an RX Claptrap steward, 12 lithographs and a copy of The Handsome Collection.

The release is scheduled in North America for March 24th followed by the international release on March 27th.
