smartwatch3-stainless-steelGranted, the Sony SmartWatch 3 is not something that is new where the world of wearable technology is concerned, although one ought to take into consideration that it is not that archaic either, having already gone on sale at Verizon just in October last year. Still, there might be some out there who would not mind wearing one of these around their wrists, but do not really like the design choices at that point in time. Perhaps it is time to reconsider, since this Android Wear-powered device will not arrive in a sleek stainless steel look.

The first mention of a stainless steel version of the Sony Smartwatch 3 was made over at CES last month, where it was slated for a February release. Hence, it is a pleasant surprise to hear that Sony has stuck to their guns, and are good on their word. While the launch is set to go international this week, there has yet to be word concerning its pricing details, although one would not be too surprised to hear that it will cost more than the $249.99 that Sony has slapped on the vanilla model. Would a stainless steel exterior finally move your heart to part with your hard-earned money for the Sony Smartwatch 3? [Press Release]
